We lived in an old house with no air conditioning.
My older sister and I got to share the biggest room on the top floor,
the part where the exterior slightly curved, with four large windows
that we could keep open in the summer time.
She had a huge CD collection and I’d listen to her music
while she was out with her friends,
cute boys would pick her up wearing flannel shirts tied around their waist
which I thought was just about the coolest thing ever.
