B MARIE
I'm yours for ever - for ever and ever
Another early times song… I think I played this the night we met.
-A E S
Reminds me of the best in my early times in NYC.
“This building is found at 96-98 St. Marks Place in Manhattan, which is the album cover of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffitti.”
- B Marie
He reminds me of the best nights of DJing in my early times in NYC. This song was actually the center piece of my set right next to Jackie Lomax’s Room to Move. I found the record in a dollar bin but was worth so much more.
He was the force behind the Fleetwood Mac transition to America. And was actually the creative soul behind my favorite albums by them including Future Games and Bare Trees. Here’s to you….
RIP

When I wake up sometimes I wish last nights dream
had a soundtrack

Another band whose sound is the nucleus for others who came later.
-A E S
A demo of one of my favorite bands of this era
Around the 2.05 mark you’ll see why
-A E S
Saxophones that sound like they were recorded in coal mines

Their faces say there’s something
I should know
- B Marie
Something classic and old to put you at ease
It’s like when you’re out at a party
and there are all of these unfamiliar faces
and someone you know shows up
- B Marie
From the last round of posts,
A E S told me not to “bring metal to a dude’s party”
though I could’ve brought out some Venom and Darkthrone
and a boy that was in a Dior homme ad once compared drinking with me
to shotgunning beers with his metalhead friends.
So I won’t. Going the other dark way,
this was my favorite song to play when I had a radio show in college
AKA it was the only Bauhaus song programmed into the system
